Family Star teaser released

After the success of Geetha Govindam in 2018, Telugu sensation Vijay Deverakonda is reuniting with director Parasuram for their upcoming project titled The Family Star.

On Monday, 4 March, the makers released The Family Star teaser which predominantly featured a rap song alongside family-oriented scenes.

Sadly, the audience’s response to the teaser has been underwhelming as it lacked a punch.

Meanwhile, netizens took to social media saying they have high hopes for Vijay Deverakonda’s The Family Star since his last flick, Kushi (2023), was not such a big hit.

Meanwhile, industry insiders feel that Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film could make a huge impact, provided the writing quality matches director Parasuram’s last work (Geetha Govindam) with Vijay Deverakonda. The film’s success will rely heavily on the story, humour, and emotional elements.

The movie aims to draw family audiences to theatres because Vijay Deverakonda’s character is set to have strong chemistry with co-stars Abhinaya, Vasuki, and, Mrunal Thakur.

The family drama seems to have good music composed by Gopi C Sunder.

However, the initial buzz around the first single “Nandanandanaa” quickly fizzled out as it failed to replicate the breakout success of “Inkem Inkem Kaavaale” from Geetha Govindam.

The Family Star‘s success depends on its reception from audiences during the summer season and its choice of release date.

Currently, promotional efforts have varied, relying heavily on Vijay Deverakonda’s star power and Mrunal Thakur’s appeal.

Audiences await further promotional material to heighten the excitement surrounding the film, which will hit the screens worldwide on 5 April.
