Vijay Deverakonda’s next movie with director Parasuram has been titled Family Star. It is touted to be a family entertainer.

On Wednesday, 18 October, the makers — Sri Venkateswara Creations — dropped the teaser which showcased the actor in both massy and classy looks.

Vijay Deverakonda plays a family man’s role with his cool attitude. The movie will slowly unveil his mass-appealing characterisation.

Mrunal Thakur plays the wife of Vijay.

The teaser starts with the ruffians mocking Vijay for being a family man. Subsequently, his massy side is unveiled.

Expectations touched sky high on the Parasuram-Vijay Deverakonda combo as they scored a blockbuster hit with Geetha Govindam (2018).

It is learnt that the shoot of Family Star is going on at a brisk pace. The movie is mounted on a huge budget. The film is expected to be released on Sankranthi 2024.

Naga Vamsi settles Leo title row for ₹25 lakh

Now that Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo is out in theatres on Thursday, 19 October, fans are celebrating the film.

Earlier during the day, trade pundits were shocked to see the advance bookings for Leo in the Telugu states. No one ever witnessed such an unprecedented craze for dubbed movies in Telugu.

Everyone was surprised to see that the shows were getting full. While the bookings were in full swing, the Telugu distributor of Leo, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is learnt to have settled the legal issue over the film title for ₹25 lakh.

A person named Narasimha Reddy approached the court seeking a halt to the release of Leo.

Reddy who owns the title rights is learnt to have been fighting for many days, but Naga Vamsi didn’t give much heed to the issue. With no option left, he approached the court just before the release of the Vijay-starrer which created a headache for the distributor.

Tharun Bhascker’s quirky comedy Keeda Cola 

After a success streak of Pelli Choopulu (2016) and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi (2018), director Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam is back with a quirky comedy titled Keeda Cola.

In the film, he chose to experiment with newcomers along with comedy actor Brahmanandam playing one of the lead roles.

The movie has already created a buzz with its character posters and teaser.

Actor Rana Daggubati, who is presenting the movie, launched the film’s trailer on Wednesday, 18 October.

Dasara gift for Ram Charan fans

South Indian filmmaker Shankar’s upcoming pan-Indian flick Game Changer features “Global Star” Ram Charan in the lead.

Game Changer team planned to release the first song on Vijaya Dasami. An official announcement on this is expected in two or three days.

It is learnt that music director Thaman has already finished the work for the single.

Thaman acted as a hero in the movie Boys (2003) directed by Shankar. Later, he composed the music for Shankar’s movie Vaishali (Telugu dubbed version of the Tamil movie Eeram) which was released in 2011.

Nearly 12 years later, they both teamed up for Game Changer.

Usually, songs are shot on a huge scale in Shankar’s films. It is expected that the song will have something special this time.
