The police had a tough time managing over 3,000 fans who followed Vijay from the airport to the hotel where he was staying.
Thalapathy Vijay has reached Thiruvananthapuram for the shooting of his forthcoming film Greatest of All Times (GOAT).
The actor reached the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport at 5 pm on a chartered flight on Monday, 18 March.
Hours before his arrival, over 3,000 fans gathered outside the airport, causing a serious traffic jam on the road leading to the location.
The actor greeted his fans from an open car. Videos and photos of him greeting people are now viral on social media.
The police had a tough time managing the crowd. The fans followed their favourite star from the airport to the hotel where he was staying.
Vjay’s car got damaged as the fans shoved each other to catch a glimpse of the actor and greet him personally. With great difficulty, the actor was taken inside the hotel.

Vijay will be in Thiruvananthapuram till 23 March as the climax portions of GOAT will be shot in three locations here, including Greenfield Stadium and the international airport.
This marks Vijay’s return to Kerala after a remarkable 14-year hiatus since his last film Kaavalan (2011).
The GOAT team will film a few scenes with around 3,000 junior artists at the Greenfield Stadium.
