Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ gearing for Sankranti 2025 release

Coming to 'Game Changer', the film finally has a release date. After being delayed, the film will hit the screens on 10 January 2025.

Sankranti in the Telugu film industry marks the release of a fleet of big-budget movies. All the top stars aim for Sankranti releases, with it also being a holiday season for schools and colleges.

With the prominence of family audiences, the filmmakers also plan for family entertainers during this period.

During the last Sankranti, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu clashed at the box office with Naa Saami Ranga, Saindhaav, and, Guntur Kaaram respectively. However, as a surprise, Teja Sajja- Prashanth Varma’s Hanu-Man became a runway success surpassing the top heroes films.

For the upcoming Sankranti too, there are already two major films, apart from Game Changer—Balakrishna’s NBK109, and Venkatesh’s AnilVenky3.

Coming to Game Changer, the film finally has a release date. After being delayed, the film will hit the screens on 10 January 2025. The film directed by S Shankar stars Kiara Advani opposite Ram Charan.

Tipped to be a political thriller, Game Changer is said to feature Ram Charan in the role of an IAS officer with serious anger issues.

Interestingly, the actor will be seen playing dual roles as father and son.

Game Changer has music by SS Thaman.

It also stars Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, and Naveen Chandra.

Announcing the release date, Thaman shared the poster on X.

Vishawambara postponed

On the occasion of the Dushera, in a video message, the film’s producer Dil Raju noted, “Happy Vijayadashami to all of you. Initially, we planned to release Game Changer during Christmas. However, after discussions with distributors across various languages, it was decided that a Sankranti release would be more suitable for a global release.”

“I conveyed this to Chiranjeevi garu and the team at UV Creations. Since we have been working on Game Changer with a massive budget for over three years, we needed a date that would allow the film to reach a wide audience. But when we requested a shift to accommodate Game Changer, Chiranjeevi garu and UV Creations kindly agreed to adjust their schedule.”

“Vishwambhara will complete its production, including post-production, by December, but they have opted for a different release date to give Game Changer Sankranti slot,” he added.
