The pre-sales of Jr NTR’s upcoming pan-Indian action drama, Devara: Part 1, in international markets, especially in North America, have surpassed expectations. It recorded a remarkable $625,000 in pre-sales in North America, the fastest ever for an Indian film.

Further, the pre-sales of Devara: Part 1 surpassed the $5,00,000 mark for the premiere shows alone. With three weeks still to go before its release, the figure is expected to rise substantially.

In all, the Koratala Siva directorial is generating significant excitement ahead of its release on 27 September.

Meanwhile, in a special Ganesh Chaturthi treat for his fans, Jr NTR unveiled a new poster for Devara: Part 1, announcing the release date for the much-awaited trailer. The theatrical trailer is set to launch on 10 September, with a grand event planned in Mumbai.

The much-awaited film gained traction in Tamil and Hindi markets too, thanks to strong musical numbers. And now, the trailer launch is expected to further increase the curiosity among fans and moviegoers. Dharma Productions is releasing the film in North India.

Jr NTR fans are hopeful that Devara: Part 1 could break the record currently held by Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD for the highest-grossing premieres among Telugu films.

In addition to its regular theatrical release, the JR NTR-starrer is set to be showcased in IMAX, following the success of the actor’s previous film RRR (2022). Many IMAX shows have already been announced for the overseas audience, with bookings now open.

Devara marks Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor‘s South Indian debut. She plays the romantic lead opposite Jr NTR in the film. The Telugu movie is set against the backdrop of India’s forgotten coastal lands and features a significant amount of VFX.

Anirudh Ravichander composed the songs for the flick. His songs already garnered widespread appreciation and are ruling the chartbusters.

Fans were recently treated to the third single, “Daavudi“, from the film. Breaking away from the traditional format of releasing lyrical songs, the makers this time released a full video song that featured Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s electrifying dance moves. The “Daavudi” video song has been an instant hit already.

Produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, Devara stars Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan as an antagonist.
