The highly anticipated Telugu film, Lucky Baskhar, has been postponed to Diwali, 31 October. The makers attributed the delay to allowing additional post-production work, ensuring the best experience for audiences.
Initially set for 27 September and then moved to 7 September, Lucky Baskhar has now been postponed to October.
Directed by Venky Atluri and starring Dulquer Salmaan, the movie created considerable excitement with its engaging storyline and impressive cast.
Meenakshi Chaudhary stars alongside Dulquer Salmaan, with music by GV Prakash Kumar.
The teaser reveals Dulquer as a middle-class banker bored with his routine life, describing him as a “common, middle-class, Indian man”. It then adds a twist by showcasing his character with a substantial amount of money. The film will unveil how Baskhar’s luck changes.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya of Sitara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film also benefits from Banglan’s authentic set designs and Nimish Ravi’s cinematography.
Lucky Baskhar will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. It marks Dulquer Salmaan’s third Telugu venture following Mahanati (2018) and Sita Ramam (2022).

Venky Atluri’s previous film was Vaathi/Sir, starring Dhanush and Samyuktha.
His most recent theatrical release was the gangster drama King of Kotha (2023). He also appeared in the Hindi web series Guns & Gulaabs(2023) directed by Raj & DK besides Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, in a cameo.
The actor is co-producing Kaantha with actor Rana Daggubati.
Renowned for his work in multiple film industries, Dulquer Salmaan isn’t pleased with being labelled a “romantic hero”. He is therefore intentionally selecting scripts that challenge this perception and offer a broader range of roles.
In an interview about his career choices, the actor remarked, “The ‘chocolate boy’ tag was enjoyable for the first decade, but it soon became monotonous. I strive to surprise both myself and the audience with diverse genres and roles. If I take on another romance, it has to be memorable.”
Dulquer Salmaan also expressed satisfaction with the variety of scripts he’s receiving and ensures his releases cover different genres to keep audiences intrigued.
