The teaser of Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming Telugu film, Lucky Baskhar, was released on Thursday, 11 April.
The teaser introduces the protagonist Baskhar (played by Dulquer) as a common, middle-class Indian man with a mundane lifestyle.
He is an ordinary cashier, at Magada Bank in Bombay, who is praised for his reliability. But the real shocker comes when a huge lump sum of cash and gold is found stashed in his bank account.
And then, Bashkar makes a statement that he is like that because of his middle-class mentality. He further says, “We save every penny when in need, but are spendthrifts when we’re challenged.”
The teaser ends with Dulquer questioning, “Where shall we begin?”
The teaser also shows the female lead Meenakshi Chaudhary in a scene where she holds the hand of Dulquer close to her heart.
Lucky Baskhar teaser hints that the flick is about a rags-to-riches story.
Dulquer Salmaan raises many eyebrows with his nuanced expressions and emotions. Ever since the makers dropped the teaser, the Malayalam actor has been drawing praise from fans and film lovers on social media.
The teaser only doubled up the anticipation and expectations for the movie.
Directed by Venky Atluri, Lucky Baskhar is the third straight Telugu film of Dulquer Salmaan after Mahanati (2018) and Sita Ramam (2022).
Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinema are jointly producing it.
GV Prakash Kumar composed the songs and background music for the film.
It will be released in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi in July this year.
