Teja Sajja's 'Hanu-Man' breaks records on OTT, too

Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man is breaking records on the OTT platforms it is being streamed.

The film, after breaking records at the Telugu box office, debuted on ZEE5 Telugu and Jio Cinema on Sunday, 17 March and Saturday, 16 March respectively.

While the original Telugu version is streaming on ZEE5 Telugu, the Hindi dubbed version is streaming on Jio Cinema.

Reports say the film is doing exceptionally well on both the OTT platforms, especially the Telugu version.

The audience, who couldn’t watch the flick in theatres are now watching it at their time of convenience.

The ZEE5 Telugu took to X to share the news about Hanu-Man breaking the records on the OTT platform.

The movie has clocked in 102 million streaming minutes in less than 11 hours.

They wrote: “RECORDS BROKEN AND HEARTS WON! HanuMan now streaming on ZEE5 in Telugu with English subtitles.”

Hanu-Man was anticipated to start streaming on 8 March for Maha Shivaratri. But it was delayed by a week.

The Ormax Media, which analyses the film performances in theatres and streaming sites shared that the Hindi version was the top anticipated film to hit the digital streaming sites, followed by Animal (2023), and Dunki (2023).

Released in theatres on 12 January, Hanu-Man is the most-awaited Telugu superhero film featuring Teja Sajja in the lead role.

The other ensemble cast includes Amritha Aiyer, Vinay Rai, Raj Deepak Shetty, Vennela Kishore, Satya, and Getup Srinu.

Directed and written by Prasanth Varma, the flick is produced by Primeshow Entertainment.

Hanu-Man is an action, adventure, and fantasy film about Hanumanthu, who gains the powers of Lord Hanuman and fights for Anjanadri.

Teja Sajja reportedly underwent a makeover for the role. He didn’t shoot for anything else until Hanu-Man‘s release.

The flick grossed over ₹100 crore worldwide and broke the RRR record at the US box office. It also completed 30 days of theatrical run in 300 centres.
