Suriya suffers minor head injury on the sets of ‘Suriya 44’ in Ooty

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where the doctors treated him and advised him to rest. The film's shoot was halted.

Suriya injured on the sets of Suriya 44

Tamil actor Suriya met with a minor accident and was injured while shooting for his upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya 44. The accident occurred when he was filming for an action sequence in Ooty.

According to the makers, Suriya suffered a minor head injury and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was given treatment. Doctors advised him to rest.

Suriya 44 producer Rajsekar Pandian took to his official X account to confirm the news. He also mentioned in the post that it was “a minor injury” and the actor “is perfectly fine”.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Suriya 44 came to a halt and will resume after the actor recovers.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Suriya 44 is one of Suriya’s anticipated films, with elements of romance, humour, and war.

The movie also features Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, and Sujith Shankar in crucial roles.

The makers recently shared a special glimpse of Suriya 44 on Suriya’s birthday. The promo video featured him sitting on a ledge, facing the sea, with suitcases beside him. He slowly turns to the camera, sporting a cynical smile.

The promo video created a buzz on the internet as the fans widely shared it and were in awe of the actor’s new avatar in the film.

Apart from Suriya 44, Suriya is gearing up for the release of his most-awaited pan-Indian film Kanguva. UV Creations and Studio Green jointly produced it.

The gory period drama, directed by Siruthai Siva, is touted to be an ambitious fantasy action entertainer. Kanguva is reportedly made with a massive budget of over ₹300 crore.

The Tamil film also marks the debut of Bobby Deol in the South Indian language. It also casts Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Marimuthu, Deepa Venkat, Ravi Raghavendra and KS Ravikumar in supporting roles.
