Madharasi is set to release in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi alongside Tamil
Earlier, the duo collaborated on the Tamil movie Maan Karate (2014), a comedy entertainer co-written by Murugadoss and directed by Krish Thirukumaran.
The movie also stars Biju Menon, Vikranth, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal, and Rukmini Vasanth in prominent roles.
Produced under the Sri Lakshmi Movies banner, the film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Sudeep Elamon, editor A Sreekar Prasad, and music composer Anirudh.
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan also has Parasakthi, an action drama, directed by Sudha Kongara. The film stars Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa. Telugu actor Sreeleela is cast as the female lead in the film, making it her Tamil debut.
The poster released earlier featured Sivakarthikeyan against a black backdrop while holding a torched bottle, with the text, “Viva La Revolución” which translates to “long live the revolution.”
Meanwhile, Murugadoss’s last was a Bollywood film with Salman Khan- Sikandar. The film, released for Eid, did not meet the expectations of the audience.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in Amaran, which was based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was killed in an encounter with militants from Hizbul Mujahideen. The film also focuses on the love story of Mukund and his wife Indu Rebecca Varghese.
