Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s sports drama Lal Salaam, which hit the theatres in February 2024, is now finally set to be available for wider audience on OTT platform.
The film is set to stream on Sun Nxt from 6 June, in Tamil. The OTT platform further announced that the film being streamed will be the extended version.
They wrote on X: “This Bakrid just got bigger – Mohideen Bhai and the boys are coming! Lal Salaam streaming from June 6 on Sun NXT.”

It is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions.
The film stars Rajinikanth in an extended cameo as Moideen Bhai, with Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles.
The other supporting cast includes Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah. Kapil Dev did a cameo in the flick.
The music is scored by AR Rahman. The cinematography is by Vishnu Rangasamy. The editing by B Pravin Baaskar.
Lal Salaam received mixed reviews from critics following its release on 9 February.

Rajinikanth’s extended cameo role complemented the plot. He is there both in the first half and second half. His screen presence and actions will give goosebumps to the audience, especially his fans. Lal Salaam is definitely a visual treat for Rajini fans.
“Lal Salaam is a timely movie made on communal harmony. It is a welcome change for audiences who are otherwise getting bombarded with propaganda films,” our review read.
