Tamil director Vetrimaaran, known for his hard-hitting films that won critical appreciation, is busy producing films under his banner Grassroot Film Company. The banner announced a new movie on Monday, 1 April.
Vetrimaaran will co-produce actor Vemal’s Ma Po Si (Mangollai Ponnarasan Sivagnanam) along with Siraj S’s SSS Pictures.
The Tamil film is written and directed by Bose Venkat, a character actor-director of Kanni Madam (2020) fame.
The makers announced the project via their social media handles. They also launched the title poster of the flick, which went viral.
The title poster gives a hint that Ma Po So is set against the backdrop of a school.
Kanni Madam actor Chaya Devi will reportedly be doing the female lead in this movie. An official confirmation is awaited though.

He is now working on his next project, Viduthalai Part 2, featuring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. The movie is a sequel to Viduthalai Part 1 (2023), a riveting drama about the police force and Naxalites. Viduthalai Part 2 is expected to be released later this year.
