Tamil actor-director SJ Suryah is making a debut in Malayalam. He will play a key role in the untitled movie to be headlined by Fahadh Faasil.
NM Badusha is bankrolling it under his banner Badusha Productions.
The makers met up with SJ Suryah in Hyderabad in this regard.
The movie is directed by Vipin Das, who helmed the super hit film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022). Vipin’s new movie, featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph, is slated for release in May.
SJ Suryah’s Malayalam debut is touted to be a mass entertainer. The shooting will begin this year.
The flick will also be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.
Director SJ Suryah has proven himself as a talented actor with his roles in films like Jigarthanda Double X (2023), Mark Antony (2022), Mersal (2017), Maanaadu (2021), and Spyder (2017), to mention a few.
He is now working with Chiyan Vikram in Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2.
He is also a part of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, directed by Shankar.
SJ Suryah started his film career as a director. His directorial debut was Vaali (1999), featuring Ajith Kumar. It was a super hit.
He later helmed films like Kushi (2000), starring Vijay and Jyothika in the lead.
SJ Suryah directed and acted in movies like New (2004), Anbe Aaruyire (2005) Isai (2015), Kalvanin Kadhali (2006), Thirumagan (2007), and Vyabari (2007).
Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil is basking in the success of his latest release Aavesham, which entered the ₹100-crore club.
He will be next seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun in the lead, under the direction of Sukumar.
He also signed two multilingual films with Arka Media, producers of the Baahubali series.
