Telugu playback singer Sathyavathi Rathod, popular by the name Mangli, has escaped unhurt when the car she was travelling in met with an accident on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway.
Though the incident occurred in the late hours of Friday (15 March), the incident came to light on Monday, 18 March.
The car accident took place near Tondupally under Shamshabad police station limits.
A police case has been registered under Section 279 of the Indian Penal Code.
According to reports, Mangli and a few others had a close shave when a DCM collided with the vehicle. The car was slightly damaged due to the impact.
Mangli was returning home after attending a spiritual event when the mishap happened.
She is a multi-talented artiste known for her singing prowess in Tollywood. She is also a television presenter and actor.
Mangli won huge recognition with the song “Ramuloo Ramulaa” from Allu Arjun-starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020).
She is also popular for her chartbusters — “Jwala Reddy“, “Oo Anthiya Oo Oo Anthiya“, “Ra Ra Rakkamma“, and “Zinda Banda“, among others.
Mangli’s latest song, “Kalyani Vaccha Vaccha” from Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming flick The Family Star is ruling the chartbusters currently.
Gopi Sundar composed the music for the soundtrack. Karthik rendered his voice to Vijay Deverakonda in the song.
