After an average run of the past couple of films, Vijay Deverakonda’s fans have high expectations for his next — The Family Star.
The film marks the second collaboration of Deverakonda and director Parusuram after the blockbuster hit Geetha Govindam in 2018.
The Family Star has Mrunal Thakur as the leading lady. The actor has been giving back-to-back hits in Telugu with Hi Nanna (2023), and Sitaramam (2022).
On Tuesday, 12 March, the film team released the “Kalyani Vaccha Vacchaa” song from the flick. This is the second single from the film, after the first song “Nandanandanaa”.
“Kalyani Vaccha Vacchaa” is set against the backdrop of a wedding.
The Family Star has music composed by Gopi C Sunder.
The song has been sung by Mangli and Karthik. The lyrics have been penned by Anantha Sriram.
Sharing the promo of the song earlier in the day, Mrunal Thakur wrote: “The wedding bells are ringing and so are our hearts.”

The movie aims to draw family audiences to theatres because Vijay Deverakonda’s character is set to have strong chemistry with co-stars Abhinaya, Vasuki, and, Mrunal Thakur.
On 4 March, the makers released The Family Star teaser, which predominantly featured a rap song alongside family-oriented scenes.
Sadly, the audience’s response to the teaser has been underwhelming as it lacked a punch.
The film is set for release on 5 April.
