Mammootty’s Kannur Squad (2023), after its successful run in theatres, is all set for its OTT release. The movie will be premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 17 November.
Kannur Squad was released on 28 September with fewer promotions. However, the Mammootty-starrer entered the ₹100-crore club after one month of its release.
Directed by debutant Roby David Raj, the movie won good reviews from audiences and critics.
It faced tough competition from the Tamil movie Leo (2023) which collected over ₹56 crore from the Kerala box office, thereby beating all records for a non-Malayalam film.
Similarly, Romancham (2023), 2018: Everyone is a Hero (2023), and RDX (2023) entered the ₹100-crore club, though the makers didn’t promote the ventures.

Tinu Pappachan’s Chaaver featuring Kunchacko Boban, Antony Varghese, and Arjun Ashokan was a much-anticipated movie upon its release.
Released on 5 October, the film evoked a mixed response. However, it had an average run in theatres after reports about its technical brilliance went viral on social media
Chaaver missed many release dates. Initially, it was expected to hit the screens on 20 June.
The Malayalam film will premiere via Sony Liv on 24 November.
Chaaver is Tinu’s third flick after Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil (2018) and Ajagajantharam (2021). Both projects were of the action genre.
Chaaver is produced by Arun Narayan and Venu Kunnappilly under the banners of Arun Narayan Productions and Kavya Film Company.
The script is written by actor-director Joy Mathew and cinematography is by Jinro George.
It is edited by Nishad Yusuf and the music is by Justin Varghese.

Joju George was seen recently in writer-director AK Sajan’s Pulimada, which received a good response from the audience. It was released on 27 October.
The Malayalam movie features Aishwarya Rajesh as the female lead. AK Sajan is its director, editor, and scriptwriter.
The cinematography is done by Venus ISC. Anil Johnson composed the original background score for the flick.
Pulimada has an intriguing story shouldered by Joju George’s amazing plot which makes it a watchable flick.
The movie will be streaming on Netflix on 23 November.
