More than the National Awards, Allu Arjun and Kriti Sanon’s sweet gestures grab eyeballs

Telugu actor Allu Arjun was honoured with the Best Actor Award for his performance in Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 (2021) at the 69th National Award event held in New Delhi on Tuesday, 17 October.

President Droupadi Murmu handed over the certificate and the award to the “Stylish Star” of Tollywood.

However, it’s not just about the National Award presentation alone at the national capital but there was much flair added when a video of Allu Arjun and Kriti Sanon surfaced on the internet.

The viral video featured Allu Arjun sharing some lighter moments with actress Kriti Sanon who was present to receive the award for her film Mimi (2021).

In another video, Allu Arjun was seen asking Kriti Sanon to adjust her saree to avoid getting tripped while actress Alia Bhatt, accompanied by Ranbir Kapoor, was seen in the backdrop.

Kriti Sanon also posed for a selfie with Allu Arjun as both recreated the iconic swag of Pushpa at the hall where the award ceremony was taking place. The pics went viral on the internet.

Other awards

Among the other recipients of the National Awards were music composer Devi Sri Prasad. He was honoured with the Best Music Director Award for his exceptional music composition for the blockbuster Pushpa.

Buchi Babu thanked his mentor and guru filmmaker Sukumar, before receiving the award from President Draupadi Murmu. He also thanked the actors and producers of his film.

Uppena is a love story between a young fisherman and an upper-class girl. While depicting the harsh realities of society, the story has a subtle message of how love triumphs over everything else.

RRR romps home with 6 awards

The Telugu film RRR (2022) won six awards at the event.

  • MM Keeravani is felicitated for Best Music Direction(Background Music) for RRR.
  • Prem Rakshith won the Best Choreography award for RRR.
  • Srinivas Mohan won the Best Special Effects for RRR.
  • Kaala Bhairava, the son of Keeravani, won Best Male Playback Singer for RRR, for the song “Komaram Bheemudo.”
  • King Solomon for Best Action Choreography (RRR).
  • SS Rajamouli received the award and certificate for Best Feature Film for Providing Wholesome Entertainment (RRR).
