Mohanlal’s directorial debut ‘Barroz’ releasing worldwide on 28 March

According to the novel, Barroz is the guardian who has been protecting Vasco da Gama's hidden treasure for over four centuries.

Barroz, a fantasy movie, marks the directorial debut of Mohanlal. The Malayalam superstar dropped a new update about the film on 4 November, Saturday.

The actor, in a Facebook post, informed that Barroz will be released worldwide on 28 March. He also revealed the 3D poster of the movie.

Barroz‘s screenplay is based on the novel “Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure” written by Jijo Punnoose.

As per the novel, Barroz is the guardian who has been protecting Vasco da Gama’s hidden treasure for over four centuries.

It’s the responsibility of Barroz to pass on this wealth to a true descendant of Vasco da Gama.

Mohanlal plays the titular role in the flick. The other cast includes Maya, Sara Vega, Tuhin Menon, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, and Guru Somasundaram.

The film is shot in 3D.

Meanwhile, Mohanal has an interesting lineup of films. Neru directed by Jeethu Joseph is hitting the screens on 21 December.

His next with Lijo Jose Pellissery, Malaikottai Vaaliban, is set for release in January.

Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer (2019), directed by Prithviraj is under shooting.

A new movie titled Rambaan directed by Joshiy was announced recently.
