After delivering a hit with Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil under the direction of Vipin Das, Prithviraj Sukumaran is gearing up for his next. To be helmed by Rorschach (2022)-fame Nissam Basheer, the film has been titled Nobody.
Prithviraj Sukumaran took to social media on Tuesday, 27 August, to reveal details about Nobody. The upcoming film, touted to be an action entertainer, will be backed by Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi of E4 Entertainment.
Sameer Abdul wrote the script of Nobody. Supriya Menon will present the film. More details about the project will be announced soon.
Prithviraj Sukumaran recently won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his stellar performance in Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life).
Interestingly, during the success meet of Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil on 27 August, the Malayalam actor announced that he would next work with Vipin Das, Nissam Basheer, and Vishnu Mohan. He expressed his happiness over working with these new-age directors and hoped that their ventures would be successful.
Nissam Basheer’s Rorschach, headlined by Mammoootty, was a successful venture. The director recently announced a new project with Biju Menon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dhyan Sreenivasan.
On the other hand, Prithviraj Sukumaran made news by sharing his opinions about the Justice Hema Committee Report, the resignation of Mohanlal as AMMA president, and the dissolution of the AMMA executive committee.
At a recent press meet, Prithviraj Sukumaran pointed out that AMMA made mistakes during the early stages of the proceedings. He demanded an in-depth investigation into the harassment and sexual assault incidents mentioned in the Justice Hema Committee Report.
He said felt that those accused should step down from their positions during the inquiry. Further, he noted that the report had the potential to bring about significant changes in Indian cinema
On the work front, Prithviraj Sukumaran is working on the Telugu film Salaar: Part 2-Shouryanga Parvam, the sequel to Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire (2024).
He is also busy directing L2: Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer (2019), with Mohanlal in the lead role. His next Malayalam release is Vilayath Buddha directed by Jayan Nambiar.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview, filmmaker Vipin Das disclosed that he would direct his next with Prithviraj Sukumaran and the film is titled Santosh Trophy. The movie would go on floors later this year.
The director also revealed that Santosh Trophy was supposed to be made before Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil but was postponed for some reason.
