Choreographer-actor-director Prabhu Deva is all set to play a prominent role in Kathanar-The Wild Sorcerer, the much-anticipated movie of actor Jayasurya.
The actor recently joined the act.
Prabhu Deva is making a comeback of sorts to the Malayalam industry after Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Urumi in 2011.
He is also part of Thalapathy Vijay’s new movie Greatest of All Ties (GOAT).
National Award-winning filmmaker Rojin Thomas is helming Kathanar-The Wild Sorcerer.
In the Malayalam film, Jayasurya plays the role of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a priest from Kerala possessed with magical powers.
The flick also stars Baahubali (2015 and 2017) actor Anushka Shetty as the female lead. She is expected to play a crucial role in the film.
Kathanar- The Wild Sorcerer has piqued the interest of film buffs as it blends horror and fantasy elements. The story revolves around the life of Kathanar, a legendary sorcerer known for his supernatural powers.
It is a pan-India film and will be released in seven languages. The makers claim that it will offer a thrilling cinematic experience to the audience.
Kathanar-The Wild Sorcerer is being shot using Virtual Production technology. The makers launched a two-minute video from the film sets for Jayasuryas’s birthday last year.
