Actors Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Prashanth, and Laila are part of ‘Thalapathy68’

Venkat Prabhu's directorial, which went on floors on 2 October this year, will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Thalapathy68 goes on floors

AGS Entertainment, the producers of actor Vijay’s upcoming film with director Venkat Prabhu, on Tuesday, 24 October, announced the entire cast of the film on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dasami and also released a video of the film going on floors.

Interestingly, actors Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Prashanth, Jayaram, and Ajmal are all a part of the Venkat Prabhu film, which is tentatively being referred to as Thalapathy68.

Besides Laila, Sneha, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, the movie features Premgi Amaren, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj — the regular set of actors who are a part of almost all Venkat Prabhu’s projects.

Thalapathy68, which originally went on floors on 2 October this year, will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni. 

Venkat Raajen is the editor and Dhilip Subbarayan is the action choreographer.

‘Surprises ahead’

While sharing the video of Thalapathy68‘s shooting, Archana Kalpathi, one of the creative producers of AGS Entertainment, wrote: “#Thalapathy68 Pooja Video with the cast and crew. We have a few surprises like Venkat Prabhu’s famous plot twists! Hopefully, you never see it coming! A warm welcome to the entire cast and crew on behalf of AGS Entertainment.” 

For actress Laila, Tuesday was really special as it was not only her birthday but also the day which marked several significant events that had happened in her life.  She took to social media to express her happiness and gratitude.

She posted a video clip on Instagram saying, “Twenty years of Pithamagan, one year of Sardar, the announcement of Thalapathy68 today. My birthday always gives me something special, and thank you to everyone for all the lovely wishes.”
