The poster of Raj B Shetty’s character from his new Malayalam movie, Kondal, is out. The poster gives the impression that the Kannada actor plays an intense role in the film.
The Kondal poster features Raj B Shetty wearing a serious look with a ship in the foreground, suggesting that the film is based on the lives of people living in coastal areas.
The Kannada actor debuted in the Malayalam industry with Mammootty’s latest blockbuster hit Turbo.
In June, the makers launched the teaser of Kondal, where its protagonist Antony Varghese was shown doing a risky fight sequence on a ship. Sharing the teaser on his social media platforms, the actor wrote: “When the wind strikes back with an unyielding force brace for impact.”
Antony Varghese is well known for his action films. Going by the teaser, Kondal will have many thrilling moments and high-octane action sequences.
Raj B Shetty is expected to play the antagonist in this revenge drama. The movie also features Shabeer Kallarackal and Goutami Nair in significant roles. Newcomer Prathiba has been roped in as the female lead.
Directed by debutant Ajit Mampally, Kondal is backed by Weekend Blockbusters. This is the seventh venture of the production house.
Antony Varghese is joining Weekend Blockbusters for the second time after their superhit film RDX (2023). Further, this is his first big-budget flick as a solo hero.
Team Kondal shot some major scenes in the sea for over 70 days. The film’s shooting was wrapped up in April after an intense 96-day schedule.
The art department created a 20-foot shark model for the shooting. Last year, a 100-foot boat was built in Kureepuzha in Kollam.
Kondal has action scenes choreographed by Vikram More, who earlier worked on KGF: Chapter 1 (2019) and Kantara (2022).
The cinematography is by Deepak D Menon and the music is by Sam CS. The film will be released for Onam on 13 September.
