Adios Amigo gets new release date—9 August

Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s Adios Amigo got a new release date. It will finally hit the screens worldwide on 9 August.

The movie was initially slated for release on 2 August. However, the makers postponed it out of respect towards the people who died in the deadly landslides in Kerala.

On Monday, 5 August, the makers of Adios Amigo took to social media to announce the new release date and shared new posters.

Besides this, Saiju Sreedharan’s Footage and East Coast Vijayan’s Chithini were also deferred due to the Wayanad landslides. Both films were supposed to be released on 2 August, along with Adios Amigo.

Interestingly, the postponement of these films helped the re-release of Mohanlal’s Devadoothan, as it got more screens and saw a collection of around ₹3.75 crore so far.

Meanwhile, August will see the release of several Malayalam films and it is to be seen how the theatres will accommodate the new movies.
