The shooting of Asif Ali’s untitled movie under the direction of Jofin T Chacko commenced on Friday, 3 May.
Jofin T Chacko debuted in the Malayalam industry with Mammootty’s The Priest in 2021.
Venu Kunnappilly’s Kavya Film Company and Anto Joseph’s Ann Mega Media are bankrolling this yet-to-be-titled flick.
The story is written by Jofin and Ramu Sunil, and the screenplay by John Manthrikal.
The Asif Ali-starrer also casts Anaswara Rajan, Zarin Shihab, and Manoj K Jayan in pivotal roles.
On the technical front, Appu Prabhakar is the cinematographer, Shameer Muhammed is the editor, and Rahul Raj is the music director.
About his film with director Jofin T Chacko, Asif Ali told the media that it was the biggest in his career. “The project was supposed to take off much earlier but didn’t work out due to some reason,” the actor added.
He stated that the upcoming flick is an investigation drama, where he plays the role of a police officer.
The actor was last seen in a cameo role in Varshangalkku Shesham (2024).
Asif Ali has some interesting projects lined up for release in the future.
He will next appear in Adios Amigos, directed by debutant Nahas Nazar.
He is currently working on Thalavan alongside Biju Menon under the direction of Jis Joy. It is an investigative thriller produced under the banners of Arun Narayan Productions and London Studios.
The actor will also be seen in Rohit VS’ Tiki Taka, Sethu Nath Padmakumar’s Abhyanthara Kuttavali (a comedy-drama), and Arfaz Ayub’s Level Cross.
