Aavesham to debut on Amazon Prime Video

Aavesham has turned out to be the most successful movie in the career of Fahadh Faasil.

It ran to packed houses across the world. It is still enjoying a good theatrical run in Kerala.

The film grossed ₹150 crore worldwide and is inching towards the ₹200 crore club.

And now, the Fahadh Faasil-starrer is all set to debut in the OTT space.

Aavesham will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 9 May, 28 days after this theatrical release (as against the usual 42-window period).

Since the theatres under the FEOUK won’t screen films after their OTT debut, this is the last chance for moviegoers to watch Aavesham on the big screens.

However, multiplex chains like PVR-INOX might screen the flick in their theatres.

Even if you miss it on the silver screen, don’t miss to watch the flick on Amazon Prime Video, for it is a must-watch. Here’s why:

Aavesham review: A one-man show by Fahadh Faasil

Fahadh Faasil aces as a mass hero

Aavesham is a pucca entertainer from Fahad Faasil.

The film does justice to the intention of the makers — entertaining the viewers. Fahadh added a touch of magic to it through his scintillating performance.

Through the title card — “Reintroducing Fafa” (Fahad Faasil), the makers reintroduced the actor, as a ‘mass hero’.

In Aavesham, director Jithu Madhavan filmmaker took inspiration from some real-life incidents in Bengaluru, where he lived for 11 years, and brilliantly weaved a beautiful and hilarious story.

The movie revolves around three engineering students in Bengaluru and their friendship with Ranga, a don (played by Fahadh).

Ranga speaks in a blend of Malayalam and Kannada, which evokes laughter from audiences.

Stellar performances

Fahadh Faasil portrayed a loud character for the first time in his career. Surprisingly, the Malayalam actor got under the skin of his role and made a mark for himself.

He was so convincing as Ranga that the audience took him home after leaving the theatres.

Sajin Gopu as Amban, the henchman of Ranga, played a key role in Aavesham.

He got equal screen time as Fahadh in the flick. Indeed, Fahadh-Sajin’s combination delivered some outstanding sequences, which worked out well in cinema halls.

This apart, Aavesham has a brilliant soundtrack composed by Sushin Shyam.

The songs are a major highlight of the film, which is why the jukebox is trending on online music platforms.

The quirky writing in the movie reminds us of Mammootty’s films — Rajamanickam (2005) and Pokkiri Raja (2007).

Well, since all these factors make Aavesham a must-watch, stay tuned to Amazon Prime Video on 9 May!
