‘Love Guru’ will help you understand the women in your life better, says Tamil actor Vijay Antony

Ahead of the film’s release on 11 April, the team visited Hyderabad on Saturday, 16 March.

Addressing the media, Vijay Antony said, “Almost 95 percent of people face issues in love, particularly boys because they find handling girls challenging. However, Love Guru will help them learn how to manage such situations. In the film, as a Love Guru, I offer solutions to their dilemmas.”

The actor explained that the film humorously depicts the myriad of problems he faces with his love interest Leela and how he overcomes them.

“We plan to release Love Guru in approximately 500 to 600 theatres across the Telugu states on 11 April on the occasion of Ramzan. My collaboration with lyricist Bhashyashree dates back to the film Bichagadu (2016). Of the 12-13 films I did, 8 to 9 of them are with Bhashyashree,” he said.

Vijay Antony revealed that the director spent a year on the script and translated it really well on screen.

Romantic side of Vijay Antony

Director Vinayak Vaidyanathan was a part of the direction team for Sharwanand’s Oke Oka Jeevitham (2022). He spent three months in Hyderabad for the film’s shoot.

“During that time, I observed the Telugu industry’s appreciation for actors. It is a pleasure to return with Love Guru. Directing Vijay Antony has been an unforgettable experience,” he added.

Mirnalini Ravi said training under Kalairani was invaluable for embodying her role of Leela accurately. “Vijay Antony is known for playing serious roles. But his romantic side in Love Guru will win him more female audiences.”

Mirnalini Ravi debuted in Telugu in 2019 with Gaddalakonda Ganesh. Last year, she appeared in Organic Mama Hybrid Alludu and Mana Mascheendra.

Love Guru also casts VTV Ganesh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Ilavarasu, Sudha, and Sreeja Ravi in crucial roles.

Vijay Antony bankrolled the project under his banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation. He is the editor, too.

Farooq J Basha is the cinematographer. Bharat Dhanasekhar scored the music. Meera Vijay Antony is presenting it.
