Kannada watchlist August

The Kannada film industry is back on the success track with two box-office hits in 2023 — Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare and Kousalya Supraja Rama.

Even films like Aachar & Co and Damayana made an impact with their content and making.

Now, more interesting ventures are set for release in August. Here is the list of the most-awaited Kannada films that are scheduled for release in the next four weeks.

Namo Bhootatma 2

Actor Komal Kumar will return with the sequel to his hit film Namo Bhootatma, a horror comedy released in 2014.

It marked the directorial debut of Murali, one of Sandalwood’s popular choreographers. It was a remake of the Tamil film Yaamirukka Bayamey (2014).

Murali once again teamed up with Komal for its sequel titled Namo Bhootatma 2.

The director revealed that like the first part, the sequel won’t be a horror flick but will have different flavours — comedy and a surprise element for the audience.

Namo Bhootatma 2 is scheduled to hit the screens on 4 August.
