Vishwak Sen in Gangs of Godavari

The first glimpse of Vishwak Sen’s upcoming movie Gangs of Godavari was dropped by the makers — Haarika & Haasini Creations — on Monday, 31 July.

Soon after the launch of the first glimpse, a few users commented that Vishwak failed to ace the dialect of Godavari Delta.

Apparently, in the first glimpse video, the actor utters the Godavari dialogues with a Hyderabadi accent!

Annay.. memu maata okkate saagadheesthaam. Thedaalu vasthe, navvuthuu naraalu laagesthaam. (Bro, we only drag words. But if you mess up with us, we’ll cut your nerves out with a sweet smile)”.

Though “Mass Ka Das” Vishwak Sen looks as extravagant as he usually gets on the screen, Godavari dialogues are something only a few actors can ace.

However opulent the visuals may look, the story and the dialogues need to be in sync with the theme. And this is what the makers of the flick have failed to notice.

Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Ford Cinemas teamed up again to bring content-driven films that they have made earlier.

Suryadevara Naga Vasmi and “Mass Ka Das” Vishwak Sen’s collaboration looks promising.

The title (Gangs of Godavari) was also announced on Monday.

Apparently, Saikumar seems to be playing an important character alongside Goparaju Ramana, Nasser, and actress Anjali.

The film is directed by Krishna Chaitanya. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director.

Vishwak has grey shades for his role as a lorry driver. But it looks like he didn’t do much homework to ace the dialogues in the Godavari dialect.

In fact, netizens are wondering why the actor is slipping into such unnatural themes after delivering good hits.

Vishwak is known for his rooted stories and quirky ideas. After his laudable performance as Vivek in Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi (2018), the actor appeared in Falaknuma Das (2019), which reaped good returns and stardom.
