Siddhu Jonnalagadda with Chiranjeevi

Star Boy Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s career is on a steady rise with back-to-back successes; first, with DJ Tillu (2022) and now, with Tillu Square.

The industry is abuzz with the astounding box office numbers following Tillu Square‘s humongous success. The Telugu film is giving multiple profits to investors.

However, the topic that is bothering the Star Boy now is — why the actor turned down a movie with Megastar Chiranjeevi.

It may be recalled that Siddhu Jonnalagadda has been drawing attention even before the promotions of Tillu Square.

He mentioned that his all-time favourite hero was Daggubati Venkatesh and revealed how the senior star influenced him since his childhood.

Siddhu stated that he aspired to work with industry stalwarts like Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rajinikanth.

Post the success of DJ Tillu, the actor was supposed to do a film with Chiranjeevi, but the project didn’t materialise for some reason.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda described Chiranjeevi as a superhuman and the face of the Telugu film industry. He also recalled his childhood days when he used to imagine Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna as stars in the sky.

The young actor added that if he were to act with such big stars, it would be the best project.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda said that a project with such big stars should be massive. He also mentioned that he should be proud to tell his children that he worked with Chiranjeevi once.

Siddhu hastened to add that he was optimistic about doing his dream role with Chiranjeevi if any filmmaker came up with a good story. “Living up to Chiranjeevi’s stardom is not an easy task,” he pointed out.

He also wished for a day when such an achievement could be attained.

Meanwhile, his latest outing Tillu Square grossed ₹78 crore worldwide in the four days of its release.

The film is now inching towards the ₹100 crore club.
