Last year, Tamil actor-director Dhanush announced the title of his third directorial venture, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK).
Announcing the project, Dhanush also revealed that the film will be a GV Prakash musical.
Recently, GV Prakash disclosed a few details about the project.
During a media interaction, the music director-actor spoke about NEEk‘s music album and hinted at his possible cameo in the film. However, it is not clear about his screen time.
When asked about the soundtrack, GV Prakash said, “I have done a young album after a long time in Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. It will be a treat to the 2K kids.”
He added, “The songs will be terrific with Dhanush’s lyrics, writing and concept. All the four songs in the album will be superb. We are confused about which one to release first.”
He also revealed that he did a cameo in one of the songs. “Yes, I have worked under Dhanush’s direction now.”
NEEK features a host of young and upcoming actors, including Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan.
It will technically be Dhanush’s third directorial and produced by his parents Kasthoori Raja and Vijayalakshmi Kasthoori Raja for his firm Wunderbar Films.
Dhanush made his directorial debut with Pa Paandi (2017) (Short for Power Pandi), which featured Rajkiran, Revathi, Madonna Sebastian and himself in the lead.
His second directorial venture is Raayan, the first-look poster of which was released in February.
The Tamil actor is now busy shooting for Kubera, directed by the Telugu director Shekar Kammula. It also stars Telugu star Nagarjuna.
The film team unveiled the first-look teaser of the much-anticipated flick on 8 March. The makers also started the Bangkok schedule recently.
