Dhyan Sreenivasan’s ‘Cop Uncle’ to release on 24 May

Dhyan Sreenivasan's Cop Uncle to release on 24 May

Malayalam actor Dhyan Sreenivasan has turned scriptwriter with his new movie, Cop Uncle.

The film is a nonsensical comedy entertainer directed by Vinay Jose.

Cop Uncle features Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role. It also casts Vasisht Umesh, Johny Antony, Saiju Kurup, Jaffer Idukki, Aju Varghese, and Shritha Sivadas in key roles.

On Friday, 26 April, the makers of Cop Uncle released three second-look posters and also announced the release date. The film is slated for release on 24 May.

The quirky second-look posters promised double the laugh and double the fun.

Unveiling the posters, Dhyan Sreenivasan wrote on his social media handles: “Double the laughs, double the fun: #copuncle’s official second look posters are here to tickle your funny bone! A nonsensical comedy entertainer IN CINEMAS 24 MAY 2024.”

Good Angle Films is producing Cop Uncle in association with Kria Film Corp and Nextel Studios.

The cinematography is by Rojo Thomas and the music is composed by Sankar Sarma.

The background score is composed by Marc D Muse.

Cop Uncle Dhyan Sreenivasan is currently basking in the success of Varshangalkku Shesham, which grossed over ₹50 crore worldwide on day 7 of its theatrical release and is going strong at the box office. The film is inching towards the ₹100-crore club.

Dhyan and Pranav Mohanlal, who played the protagonists in the flick, won audiences’ hearts with their spellbinding performances.

After watching the film, Superstar Mohanlal praised team Varshangalkku Shesham for making him nostalgic.
