Anumol to star opposite Mohan in Haraa

Malayalam actress Anumol has been roped in to play the female lead in director Vijay Sri’s Haraa. Actor Mohan is the protagonist.

It may be recalled that Khushbu Sundar was roped in as the leading lady in this film. However, the makers replaced her with Anumol.

According to sources, the shooting schedules of the movie were disrupted after director Vijay Sri G suffered serious injuries in a road accident. When the unit resumed shooting recently, Khushbu couldn’t give new dates that suited the rest of the cast. As a result, they had to replace her with Anumol.

Director Vijay Sri G claimed that Anumol performed well in the movie and that her character will be talked about.

The final phase of the shoot in Kotagiri was completed successfully. The post-production work is going on in full swing.

Haraa, being made with a big budget, has an ensemble of cast — Yogi Babu, Powder (2022) fame Anithra Nair, Charu Haasan, Suresh Menon, Vanitha Vijayakumar, “Mottai” Rajendran, Singam Puli, Deepa, Mime Gopi, Chaams, Koushik, and Santhosh Prabhakar.

The film is significant as it marks the comeback of actor Mohan in an action role after 14 years. Mohan, who was a top hero at one point in time in Tamil cinema, delivered several hits and superhits, including director Mani Ratnam’s Mouna Ragam (1986).

Coimbatore SP Mohan Raj and G Media Jaya Sri Vijay are producing Haraa. The film tries to drive home the point that children must be made aware of the IPC (Indian Penal Code), right from the time they are in school.
