The breathtaking trailer for Tovino Thomas’s upcoming Malayalam film, Ajayante Randam Moshanam, has caught the fancy of movie lovers.
The trailer shows a meteorite striking the village of Haripuram, centuries ago. Then, we are introduced to warrior Kunji Kelu, the notorious thief Maniyan, and the title character Ajayan. Ajayan lives with the burden of his grandfather’s infamous reputation.
The film is set in different eras: 1900, 1950, and the 1990s. Interestingly, all three characters are played by Tovino Thomas.
The Ajayante Randam Moshanam trailer also introduces the female leads Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, and Krithi Shetty.
Following the trailer launch, film enthusiasts hope that the flick will be a riveting watch.
The film’s motion poster, which was unveiled a few days ago, featured Tovino Thomas in different looks and raised curiosity among fans.
Ajayante Randam Moshanam, directed by debutant Jithin Laal, is a 3D action-adventure period drama that spans several timelines. It was scripted by Sujith Nambiar and has an additional screenplay by Deepu Pradeep.
This movie marks the debut of Krithi Shetty as a leading lady in the Malayalam film industry. It also features Rohini, Basil Joseph, Jagadish, and Harish Uthaman in crucial roles.
Harish Uthaman is shown to be on a serious mission in the trailer. In an interview with South First, the actor said he plays an important role in the film and is eagerly waiting for its release.
Ajayante Randam Moshanam was postponed after its makers were accused of financial fraud. Following a petition, Ernakulam Principal Sub Court stayed the release of the theatrical release, OTT, and satellite release of the film.
However, the makers recently revealed that the Jithin Laal film will hit the screens in September for Onam. However, the exact date is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas is on a roll this year. Some of his much-anticipated films include Narivetta directed by Anuraj Manohar, Identity by Akhil Paul, Munpe directed by Saiju Sreedharan, and Avaran by debutant Shilpa Alexander.
He is also part of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s next directorial, L2: Empuraan, which will have Mohanlal in the lead role. Further, he is bankrolling Marana Mass with Basil Joseph as the protagonist.
