On Word Diabetes Day, Endocrinologist Dr PV Rao explains what children with diabetes should carry in their school bags.

Dr Rao who is part of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad says when blood sugar levels drop, children should consume juices or pulpy fruits instead of hard chocolate which may not dissolve and could also get stuck in the windpipe.
