Then Vijayakanth, now Vijay — Edappadi’s alliance strategy!

Following the Karur incident, Vijay is seen expecting political support. In this context, there seems to be a growing possibility of an alliance between Vijay and the AIADMK, as the political landscape appears to be shifting.

During a recent campaign, Edappadi Palaniswami subtly hinted at the potential inclusion of TVK in the AIADMK’s alliance, like the 2011 AIADMK-Vijayakanth alliance.

Both AIADMK and TVK seem interested in forming a non-BJP front for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. If such an AIADMK–TVK alliance materialises, it could pose a strong challenge to the DMK.
