Slain Telangana forest officer laid to rest with state honours

The last rites of slain Forest Range Officer Srinivasa Rao were held with state honours in Khammam.

The officer succumbed to injuries after allegedly being attacked by Guthikoya tribals in the Bendalapadu forest area of the Kothagudem district.

The state government has announced an ex gratia of ₹50 lakh to the next of kin and a job to a family member.
