Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Kempagowda International Airport (KIA) Terminal 2 in Bengaluru on Friday, 11 November. The sprawling 'Garden Terminal' is a tribute to the Garden City of Bengaluru and is spread over 10,000 sq mt. Built at a cost of ₹5,000 crore, the terminal will double the capacity to handle the passengers, and the counters for check-in and immigration. T2 can handle nearly 6 crore passengers annually. KIA is already a benchmark in sustainability with 100% usage of renewable energy.
