Days after a controversy over dome-like structures on a bus shelter in Mysuru, the local administration has removed some of them.

BJP MP from Mysuru Pratap Simha had claimed the dome-like structures resembled a mosque and threatened to raze them with an earthmover.

Of the three domes, two have been razed and the colour changed to red from golden.

The local BJP MLA A Ramadas who had initially defended the structure was forced to alter it after Chief Minister Bommai intervened.
