Karnataka’s shame: When love and hate collided; woman stripped and paraded naked in Belagavi

In a distressing incident, a gang of 10-15 men not only assaulted but also paraded a 40-year-old woman naked, before tying her to an electric pole at Vantamuri village in Belagavi.

The incident was triggered when the woman’s son eloped with a girl from the same community in the village.

Karnataka’s Belagavi Police have arrested seven members connected to the case and are searching for the others, who are at large.
