The Karnataka Congress has alleged that the Basavaraj Bommai government has been inflating and finalising tenders in a hurry to mobilise funds for the upcoming assembly elections.

State Congress president DK Shivakumar has vowed to cancel all projects sanctioned in the last few months once the party comes to power.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, however, hit back at the Congress claiming all allegations were baseless.

He dared Congress to provide evidence and said an inquiry would be ordered.
