Justice For Prabhu: Tamil Nadu cops claim fight among relatives, insist no political members involved

The police claimed there was no political angle to the crime and warned some political parties of action for spreading false information.

Following outrage over an army jawan’s murder by a DMK Councillor and his family in Krishnagiri, the Tamil Nadu police insisted that there were no political members involved in the fight between relatives.

The police claimed there was no political angle to the crime and even warned some political parties and politicians of action for spreading false information.

M Prabhu (28) and his brother were attacked by a DMK councillor and his kin in a fight over clothes being washed near a public tap.

Prabhu succumbed to injuries in the hospital.

The DMK functionary who went absconding was arrested following Prabhu’s death.

Nine persons have been arrested in connection with the murder.
