Jilted lover abducts woman minutes before her engagement near Hyderabad

In a scene straight out of a Tollywood potboiler, a jilted lover abducted a 24-year-old woman minutes before her engagement and his goons attacked her family in Adibatla of Ranga Reddy District.

The armed goons led by accused Naveen Reddy, a local businessman, terrorised the neighbourhood and barged into the victim’s house.

They attacked the woman’s family and vandalised the place.

The victim, a dental surgeon was held hostage for over eight hours before police rescued her in a late-night operation.

Police have so far arrested 16 persons. Naveen is on the run.
