Hyderabad: Raunaq Yar Khan coronated as Nizam IX

Sixty-five-year-old Raunaq Yar Khan has been coronated as titular Nizam IX.

He is the great-grandson of the sixth Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Mir Mahbub Ali Khan.

Disenchanted with the recently-coronated Nizam Prince Azmet Jah’s decision not to take control of all the trusts, descendants of the Nizams coronated Khan as Nizam IX.

The family also alleged Jahi failed to take stock of the Asaf Jahi family’s affairs and was unaware of the complex legal issues involved.
