The Soliga tribe inhabits the deep jungles of BR Hills and mountain ranges in and around Chamarajnagar.

While a lot has changed in the Soliga land, one thing that had remained constant is the shamanic healers of the tribe.

South First’s Chetana Belagere travelled to the BR Hills for an exclusive report on how the shamanic healers too are now changing their prescriptions and reluctantly adjusting to modern medicine.
