Horrifying attack in broad daylight on lady professor in Trichy

A 53-year-old lady professor was brutally attacked and dragged on the road before being robbed of her mobile phone and two-wheeler.

The horrifying attack caught on camera took place near the District of Collectorate’s office in Trichy in Tamil Nadu.

Seetha Lakshmi, a professor at Tiruchy Anna University had parked her two-wheeler and was on her morning walk when the assailant attacked her with a log and dragged her to a secluded place.

He robbed her mobile phone and sped away in her vehicle.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where she is recovering.

Police swung into action when a video of the attack went viral on social media.

Police arrested Senthil Kumar of Thirukattupalli and recovered the victim’s belongings.

Police said the suspect fell and broke his leg while trying to escape from them.
