Forest guard, amateur naturalist from Karnataka discover rare crab species

The duo, with no academic background in the field, created history by discovering the freshwater crab species Ghatiana Dwiwarna.

Parshuram Bajantri, a forest guard of Karnataka’s Forest Department, and Gopal Hegde, a naturalist with no advanced degree in the field, created history by discovering the freshwater crab species Ghatiana Dwiwarna. The discovery made it to an international scientific journal.
