With campaigning on in full swing for the Erode East Byelections, the BJP and AIADMK have accused the DMK-Congress alliance of luring voters with money and freebies.

BJP state chief K Annamalai alleged the money and cookers were being distributed to lure voters in favour of EVKS Elangovan.

With 77 candidates in the fray, the fight is likely to be between DMK-Congress alliance candidate EVKS Elangovan and AIADMK’s Thennarasu.
