Doctors remove 187 coins from man’s stomach

Doctors in Hangal of Bagalkot removed 187 coins from the stomach of a 58-year-old man.

Damappa Harijan had swallowed the coins and was rushed to the hospital when he complained of a severe stomachache.

Doctors at Sri Kumareshwar Hospital operated on him and removed coins of various denominations, which in all weighed 1.5 kg.

Damappa is recovering in the hospital and undergoing counselling.
