DMK Youth Wing protests against Hindi imposition

DMK Youth Wing Secretary and MLA Udayanidhi Stalin on Saturday led a protest against the Centre over imposition of Hindi.

This follows recommendations made by the Parliamentary Panel on Official Language. The panel is headed by Home Minister Amit Shah.

The row erupted after the panel reportedly recommended that Hindi be made the medium of instruction in all technical and non-technical educational institutions, and suggested compulsory English language papers be replaced with Hindi in recruitment exams for central government jobs.
