Amidst the row over invitations and boycotting Christmas celebrations hosted by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Opposition leader VD Satheesan chose to celebrate the festival with displaced fisherfolk at a rehabilitation centre near Vizhinjam.
Over 60 families have been living at a rehabilitation centre in Valiyathura for nearly five years.
Satheesan blamed the LDF-led Vijayan government for lack of proper rehabilitation for those displaced by the Adani seaport project.
